Giving Tuesday, which falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, began as a day that encourages people to do something good around the holidays. It has now grown into a global movement inspiring millions of people around the world to donate and celebrate generosity throughout the year.
Giving encompasses far more than financial donations; it’s about giving your time, skills, or resources to make a difference in an individual’s life or a local charity that has a significant meaning to you. Whether it’s volunteering at a local library, putting together care packages for our military or running a marathon to support finding a cure for cancer, the point isn’t what you do, it’s the fact you are doing something.
PSSI team members have always been generous with their time away from work, participating in local and national days of service such as National Cleanup Day which brought people together to remove litter from our public spaces and waterways. Or, organizing local food, clothing and school supplies drives to support the communities in which we live and work.
Whether it’s the PSSI team’s dedication to local projects or the collective effort of neighbors supporting one another, our community thrives on these acts of kindness. Let this day be a stepping stone, inspiring us to continue making a positive impact in our local communities.
