This week, I had the opportunity to visit the Waterloo Schools Foundation (WSF) in Iowa to announce our partnership and pledge of $125,000 to the Waterloo Career Center to support their new emerging career academies. The Waterloo Schools Foundation is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of students through educational opportunities that will equip them with critical job skills that will create pathways to their careers.

The Waterloo Career Center’s work to provide skills-based training for high-demand career paths makes the partnership with PSSI a natural fit. Our pledge will put learning equipment in the hands of students across five academies that include Agri-Science; PowerTech; Beauty-Wellness; Criminal Justice/Police Science; and the reinstatement of the Hospitality Academy. In the 2024-2025 school year, Waterloo Community School District and surrounding partnered district students will have over 24 career academies to choose from to expand their knowledge and explore future career paths in the Cedar Valley.

PSSI is a proud member of the Waterloo community, many of our team members not only work here but they also live and raise their families in Waterloo. PSSI is invested in Waterloo’s future and want to see the community and its residents thrive and succeed. And I am honored to help our company foster a continued partnership with WSF to prepare students today to be the workforce of tomorrow.
