As part of his commitment to open communications within the company, PSSI CEO Tim Mulhere began holding townhall meetings last year. Tim is continuing to fulfill that commitment in 2024, holding his first townhall in February where he was joined by Chief Compliance Officer Diego Alvarez.
Tim and Diego discussed a number of topics during the townhall, including company outlook and the new Code of Conduct. We’ve compiled a few highlights below:
Tim Mulhere:
- Vision/Mission — Tim discussed PSSI’s vision to be the premier protection company committed to owning the standard of health and safety for customers, emphasizing that, “we do everything we do with compliance in mind.”
- Market/Customers — Tim also gave an update on how the market is performing and potential new customer opportunities on the horizon as “we continue to prove we are the right partner.” He also relayed positive feedback from downstream customers about PSSI’s compliance efforts.
- 2024 Objectives — Tim detailed the 2024 company objectives, touching on safety and our compliance journey which includes a rollout of a code of conduct and ethics.
- Where PSSI Stands — Tim wrapped up by giving some final thoughts on where PSSI stands today, noting that, “We are making strong progress on compliance, new business, operational excellence, customer focus,” and financial performance. He emphasized, however, that none of that matters if PSSI doesn’t deliver on its values.
Diego Alvarez:
- Team Members — Diego Alvarez began his presentation by thanking PSSI team members for their hard work in supporting customers.
- Code of Conduct — Diego focused on PSSI’s Code of Conduct and Ethics, showing a short video which featured Tim discussing the foundational document as an important part of our compliance journey.
- After the video, Diego went into more detail about the Code of Conduct, noting that it is “intended to create a positive and respectful environment, and promoting transparency across everything that we do.”
- He also discussed how PSSI team members should use the code, highlighting the need to first read and understand it, and report known or suspected violations.
- Integrity — Diego closed out his presentation by emphasizing that even though we all come from different backgrounds and countries, “when it comes to working at PSSI, we are all following the code of conduct. We are all acting with integrity.”
